OK
Quinn officially has more animal sounds than words:
cow
sheep
dog
cat
bumble bee
monkey
lion
chicken
bird
elephant
bear
....and she thinks she is a bunny. You ask, "Who's a bunny?" and she points to herself! Haha! We get such a kick out of her!
how many words she has is highly dependent on your imagination. I swear she says stella (without the s and l sound). she also says "wadat" meaning whats that? other words I can think of right this minute mama, dada, uh-oh, hi, bye, baby, stella, ya, and go. There are a few more but I cant think of them now.
she knows ASL for food, more, milk, down, all done and Poop (the most important one. I am hoping this will help in a year or so when we potty train her).
Just a bit more bragging:
She can point to her head, ears, nose, mouth, heart, belly, feet and hands.
Tonight Quinn decided she is above eating with her hands and had to use a fork for everything. She did pretty well, with a bit of assistance, and was very proud of herself!
good night all

yes, I know it has been over 1 month since the last post
Well, there are probably about 3 people who read this blog so posting has been down on the priority list...sorry.
I am counting down the days till I graduate. It has been a long rough road. The last semester has been no easier...in fact it is the icing on the cake...GET ME OUTTA SCHOOL!
Here are some of the things that michael and I have dealt with in the last month:
-The rental property had a break in the sewer line...that was not a cheap repair.
-The faucet in our hose broke off and the plumber was unable to get the pipe out so had to break a hole in the shower tile. The tile is so old that I thought it would look like crap to try to patch the hole so we just decided to retile the entire thing... also not cheap.
-Took the dogs and Quinn up Millcreek. On the way down Stella bumped into me and I cut her paw with my ski edge down to the bone...Luckily I have the knowledge to do a proper dressing and wound cleaning, although I was still concerned she was going to need antibiotics so I took her to the vet today who put 4 staples in the cut. The vet admired my bandaging skills.
-Michael started his second job as an Emergency Room nurse at St. Mark's hospital (So I can go one day a week to finish out school)--Very sweet dont ya think?
-I work 24 hours per week and go to clinic between 25-30.
I mostly feel bad for quinn who spends 3+ days with someone besides Michael and I for daycare.
My goals for this summer are to not neglect my mountain bike, find a job, and play play play with quinn. Hopefully we can fit in some out of town get aways.

Mikey turns 51
Yes Mikey turned 51! Unfortunately because of school and shear exhaustion we didn't do much. The night before his birthday we went to the Red Iguana. This place has amazing mexican food. No sloppy out of the can imitation. If you don't get there by 5 you're gonna be waiting outside for a table. I had lamb w mole (pronounced molay) and michael had seafood enchiladas. Oddly enough Michael chose Mexican food. Normally he has no interest in mexican food at all, but he says he is practicing for his motorcycle trip through Baja Mexico next fall. On his actually Bday I had to work. Quinn and michael went for a little hike at Dimple Dell. Then we had Este pizza that night.

School has started BOOOO!
Well, school has restarted but there is light at the end of the tunnel... This semester will be pretty rough. I will have clinic about 25-30 hours per week (about 4 days) and work 24 hrs per week (2 full days). Hopefully Quinn will not forget me this semester.
Quinn is officially a biped. just before Christmas she started taking 4-5 steps but now she is consistently walking 10-12 now and can stop and readjust her balance to prevent falling. Don't get me wrong.. her poor butt has to be totally sore as much as she falls on it. It is very cute to watch and she is very proud

Christmas 2010

Christmas this year was a blast!
It was fun to have little Quinn girl. I know she doesn't get it but it was still fun to put up a tree and play Santa this year.
On the 24th we went to Temple Square to see the lights. There were so many lights it made me dizzy. We went with some friends and their two boys. Quinn was asleep through 3/4ths but woke up in time to some of the lights. It was pretty cute. One of the people we went with have a wa
On Christmas we got up at Quinn's normal time (between 6-7). The night before I had prepared sticky buns to cook in the morning...as you can see they sort of exploded, but tasted DELICIOUS.. I doubled the gooey stuff so it was extra sticky.

Quinn of course, made out like a bandit (and no, its never to young to have your first bik
Quinn also is pretty much walking. she can take about 6 steps before she falls. She also has a total of 7 1/2 teeth, and believe me she is learning how to use 'em.

Christmas time

The last week-ish has been both rough and fun. Quinn got conjunctivitis (pink eye) and was a little miserable for a few days. Makes my eyes water just thinking about how puffy and gross her eye was. Luckily it didn't spread to the other eye. She also got a cold, a fever of 103F and two additional teeth. All of this has made for an interesting time. A couple of days ago we took Quinn to see Santa, she wasn't happy. She was interested in touching Santa's beard, while we were holding her, but as soon as we sat her on his lap she was less than thrilled.
Quinn being daredevil baby!
