China update

Hello all!
I have no idea if anybody will even read this but oh well. I'm gonna do my best to update every so often.

Michael and I left for China July 21, 2010 to pick up Quinn. We started the process of adoption December of 2005. When we started the wait for a child was only ~18 mo. HA! we ended up waiting 4.5 years. There were major hurtles in the last few years but the timing of picking her up was pretty good despite me being in my last year of nurse practitioner school. Oh well what does it matter if it takes me another year to finish?
We picked up Quinn July 25 in Nanchang China. Picking up Quinn was pretty anticlimactic. We literally walked into a conference room in the hotel we were staying at, someone asked our name then basically handed us a baby and walked away. I have no idea who handed us Quinn it could have been an alien for all I know. We just went back to our hotel room after that. Quinn SCREAMED for a good 45 minutes (on about 2 breaths of air) then gave up and fell asleep. Took her a couple days but luckily she decided to keep us.
We got home August 7th...late. The plane ride was pretty rough, Quinn hated the airplane ride and did not sleep at all-which meant michael and I were not sleeping and pretty miserable. I feel really bad for the guy sitting next to us.
Since then we have just been adjusting to somewhat normal life.

PS. This blog was originally created for a class I had a year or so ago. So don't bother to read previous posts unless you need something to help you sleep.

Quinn really enjoyed swimming, so we went everyday while we were in china. We didn't mind going because it was probably the coolest place in southeast china (it was about 95 degrees everyday and 85-90% humidity--oppressive heat!)

Michael made me promise I wouldn't put any pics of Quinn on facebook but putting her on a blog was ok.
